Developed in collaboration with the Te Arai Research Group at the University of Auckland, this project involved the design of a resource guide that translates complex health research into an accessible format for communities, researchers and healthcare professionals. A series of illustrated infographics draws on data collected from health services in Central Auckland and the Bay of Plenty region between January 2015 and December 2020. It presents findings from a population-based study investigating how area deprivation influences access to and use of health services during the last year of life. Through an approachable visual storytelling, the project aimed to make evidence more understandable and support conversations around health inequities, palliative care and the social determinants of health in Aotearoa New Zealand.
